I had to fill a router tear in my first guitar's neck pocket and a random gouge on the edge of the fretboard of the last one I did. I'm aiming to not
let anyone know about any mistakes next timehave to fill anything on the next one.:brofist:
;-)

Totally. Those are just the visible ones. We don't talk about the ones on the inside of the neck-pocket or pickup cavities etc.

Part of my boatbuilding apprenticeship was building this toolbox. It's all made with hand tools, and the dovetails are cut and chiseled by hand. Mitred dovetails in the lid, and the trays inside are all made with invisible, internal dovetails.
.Excellent. What a wonderful skill to have, especially these days. This is just pure skill isn't it? no fancy equipment I mean

Sounds interesting, if a little surreal. Look forward to seeing it.
Apologies for the FB link but my boss put disco monkey vid on there.

This it what I've been making in work recently -
https://sslcache.se/f075ab58e34f6c9dc58ecbd60163a2b0ff123fa9/687474703a2f2f7370686f746f732d672e616b2e666263646e2e6e65742f6870686f746f732d616b2d736e63372f31303433385f31303135313039363330333933313732345f313333393635313932395f6e2e6a70672ft wide, 14ft to the point, 12ft to the bottom of the 3ft circle. The circle is going to be filled with frosted acrylic with a graphic on it then a light beamed onto it. Tomorrows job is covering it with aluminium formica which should be fun
Yes, it is leaning on the roof...
This turned into this -
The thing that really annoyed me was that after all that effort they didn't bother lighting them properly so you couldn't really see them.
Whole set -

This is a pretty inspiring thread! I definitely don't have the woodworking skills but build a lot of stuff for my arts practice. I suppose I should share:
Some info and a bunch more stuff here.
Woah woah woah. Slow down. You built that treehouse? You make a living doing that shit? Fuck me I'm in the wrong business

Clearly, no evidence of any woodworking skills there whatsoever. :)

This is a pretty inspiring thread! I definitely don't have the woodworking skills, but build a lot of stuff on the forest moon of Endor, for my friends the Ewoks.

All lovely work by the way!

Ahh, thanks guys! I guess I mean not a lot of woodworking skills relative to what else I've seen in this thread. I mean, have you seen that chest!? Dovetail deliciousness!
I'm definitely deft with the hammer and saw and some concepts, but I'd love to get my chisel skills up!
Just added a bunch more work from this year on my site by the way.
Thanks again for the notes. Now all I need to do is find a gallery/collection here in the UK that supports my practice (as my work is largely site-specific that can be hard sometimes)!
:-)
All lovely work by the way!

Just been browsing your portfolio Andrew. Will have a proper read later.
Is Richard Long one of your inspirations by any chance?
