No need for thanks, looks mega.
Just thinking I have the parts lying around to build something similar (but a decade or so older)

Apparently it's a 1950's porteur rack. Bought by a friend off eBay.fr, and I bought it from him.

It's rad and I like it.

Should take a link or two out of that chain.
-
• #4341
Such weird geo on that bike
-
• #4342
Yup, the chain is an old one and in need of replacing all together really, I wanna get a half link and fit it a bit more snuggly ;)
As for the geo, the pics do seam to make it look strange, it's not so bad up close. Unfortunately I suspect the the frame has been crashed at some point, when I bought it the forks were some random shite and the frame has some tell-tale distortion in the tt and under the dt. I've replaced the forks and the bike feels mint now, strong, balanced and responsive so it's all goo man!

^^ what a waste
-
• #4346
Looks like it has been used loads, so not really a waste.

I sort of agree, I don't see the point in having expensive bikes to just sit in a garage and look nice, but I can't help but feel that an incredibly expensive track bike like that wouldn't neccesarily do the job of an everyday beater/get around the place type deal as a bike that cost a fraction of the price. Looks like fun though.

• #4348
The owner probably got a good deal on it and thought why not....
-
• #4349
Depressingly, it's probably still cheaper than an NJS frame, too...

Could someone fill me in on the logic behind the rear triangle layout of Verbs & Noun's Cannondale please? Makes me curious.
