Dawes Galaxy frame and forks (stepthrough) SOLDST 54 C-T
Effective TT 53 C-C
130 rear spacing (respaced from 126)531 tubing lugged frame. Paint is a bit shit (rattlecan job). Showing some signs of surface rust on the drive side chainstay.
Canti mounts, double eyelets on both ends. Pump mount.
27.2 seat tube.
Downtube gear bosses with adjusters. You can put DT shifters on without them or STIs etc...
Rack mount on non-drive side below seat collar has a bolt snapped off inside it. I mounted a rack using a P clip on that side above the mount. I'm sure it could be drilled out though.
Free Miche headset fitted but not used for long. Plus Bonty side entry bottle cage (pretty useful on a stepthrough frame).

JF Wilson frame and forks - SOLD
531 (apparently - no way of varifying this). Paintwork isn't great. But again its just cosmetic.TT 54.5 C-C
ST 52 C-T126 rear spacing
27.2 seattubeNo eyelets, no DT shifter bosses (band on only)
Forks needed to be shimmed (coke can) at the crown race last time I had it built up (if I remember rightly, it was a few years back).
Free shimano square taper BB (should be UN54 but I can't remember).
Looong dropouts.
EDIT: Just spoke to my Dad (the 'expert') who gave me the frame (to use for my Mrs - but its too small for her if truth be told).
Quite right (Hilly Ben). Nervex Pro lugs and yes definitey 531 (it does of course have the Reynolds badge too, I forgot about that).
This frame was built by Jim Wilson in the 50s (again, according to my Dad). Frame was originally made to suit a Magistroni headset but it'll work fine with a standard 1" threaded headset (aside from the crown race/shim issue). But the headset may need spacers as the Magistroni's are quite a high stack height.
I'm not all that clued up on anything pre 80s tbh.
He also said I should've asked for £60! :). Too late now. But tbh if you have to buy new forks its still not a bad price for the frame.

Dawes Sterling Tour - £50
Reasonable condition pub/town bike. Could polish up well for actual touring if you want.
Reynolds 525 tubing
ST - 60cm C-T
TT - 57cm C-C
Paintwork isn't great but its all just cosmetic.
Wheels are from a Ridgeback Hybrid. Fairly cheap. Could probably do with a true.
Plenty of braking surface. Tyres are some kind of puncture resitant jobbies. Fat.
Chainset is a weird SR egg ring thing. Works well. But it has a non-matching non drive side arm. But they're both 170 and square taper (Q factor may be a bit off if you're that performance minded).
I'll stick some cheap platform pedals on for you to ride it away.
V-brakes (deore) with some Shimano trigger shifter brake levers. All work fine. New cables (inner and outer for gear and brakes) about a year or so ago but its had very little use since then and been kept indoors.
Deore rear mech. Great condition. Long cage. Old school front mech. Works fine though.
Saddle is pretty ugly but still comfortable.
Mudguards are a bit tatty but work fine.
Rack is cheap.
It'll come with some standard skewers. I need the rear one to go with my trailer.
For some reason I fitted some barends. They're not great. You can always remove them.
Selling to make some room. I've barely ridden it in the past year or so.*
