Just in case anyone wasn't aware, I notice the "wet weather policy" now goes into some detail about the conditions under which training sessions will still go ahead, especially:
"Our general rule, is as long as the rain is light or intermittent and the spray off the track isn't a problem sessions can go ahead. However, we do take certain precautions.
*"Inductions and novice sessions won't go ahead on a wet track. **Intermediate *and Advanced training session will most probably go ahead if the coach is happy with the conditions. In this case sessions will be limited to "tempo" exercises, ie those that involve consistent speeds, and traveling in a straight line."
It was my understanding that last winter, with some sections of the track likely to stay damp even after a dry Friday evening (and before the lines were sanded down for more grip) it was decided not to bother at all, but from the above, it would seem that a bit of morning dampness shouldn't be a problem. I guess the ultimate advice is to keep your eye on Twitter updates!
