you cant sit and look at this and try to apply the london way of reasoning about rlj'ing etc. peds in new york expect every cyclist to jump the light and 9 times out of 10 they will give you right of way and not yell/honk/scream about it, unlike here. In london people complain about all kinds of shit. I have yet to hear any random person in new york start talking and complaining about unsafe bike riding. Its just not a big disruption in a city that has much worse things to deal with.
