Thanks for the comment but I totally disagree with you. I would much prefer to let any potential buyer see the damage and then decide what course of action they wish to take rather than cover it up and hope that it sells more successfully. As I said, I have been advised that it is very straight forward to fix and would cost about £30 and I have said which shop gave me that info - anybody can feel free to check with them - but ultimately if someone is going to buy a damaged bike then they need to know exactly what the problem is.
Just one other point I would make, the parts are good quality and in very good condition so if anyone feels like ditching the frame and recycling the parts please feel free to make an offer.
