With out checking I am pretty ure they both have french BB's. The gitane is or close to the 1980 Olympic 3944 model, which had a 3ttt bar/stem. guessing they both do take 22.2 stems
The purple bike has a mix of stronglight and campagnolo for a bb, and I think take a 26.4 post.
