Apart from this thread, do you guys go on any other Aberdeen/grampian based cycling forums?

I go through Pitmedden almost every day (I change my route now and again). However, I haven't been riding fixed much this year after getting a new bike in spring. The fixed gear barely made it through last winter and so has been in bits in the garage awaiting re-building (of sorts) for this winter.
So most of the time I'm on a white GT road bike. But soon I'll be back on the fixed gear and snowtyres and trundling much slower through Pitmedden.

Are you meeting regularly for rides around the city? Planning on a trip up very soon.

Massive Dredge, I'm looking to sell on a Peugeot Ladyback Tandem and was wondering if there is anyone about interested? I'm based out in Torphins if you wanted to come and have a looksie! I bought it a while back for me and my wife but we haven't used it half as much as I hoped so now looking for a new home for it.
Pics later on if anyone is interested, otherwise it'll be gumtree me thinks. -

Anyone around still?

Still cycling fixed in Aberdeen(shire). Just very, very slowly in winter: I dropped down to a 2:1 ratio to cope with the mud.

I'll check my ratio at lunch, but ive been commuting everyday on my rat bike, Really needs a new bb and chainset, the teeth are nearly spikes..

Bit of a Thread Dredge, unsurprisingly what with the current down turn in the oil price a few folk have lost jobs, I have a mate who was recently made redundant and was wondering if anyone had any leads of jobs going? His degree is in Mechanical Engineering, he did a stint with Schlumberger working in the field doing Measuring While Drilling and more recently was working on Wellheads with FMC, he was also studying part time for a MSc in Drilling Engineering. I don't think he's expecting to dive into a fancy engineery job but would probably be happy doing grounds work or basically anything out doors! He's not put off by part time either! He's a good hard working lad so if you hear of anything it would be greatly appreciated.

Re-Dredge, still talking about the same bloke, he is now moving to Manchester so his house is up for rent, please share far and wide if you can, it's a lovely house which he has just done up, £850 p/m, top bloke!

Re-re Dredge, so a bit of self (wife) promotion! My wife has just started her own massage therapy business just outside sunny Torphins. She is just getting going and is wanting to try and get some business, if you are that way inclined at all please take a look at her website and facebook page, also if you could like and share it that would be awesome, the more the merrier.

I don't know why I bother, lol, anyone keen on this?
Hi. Been riding fixed for a year or two now. I commute from Pitmedden to Aberdeen on a Surly Steamroller, cream coloured with black carbon forks. I've seen loads of SS bikes going about and some beautiful fixies. Saw a gorgeous poder blue Fixie on the roundabout at Riverside Drive heading over the bridge towards the prison - wasnt close enough to see what kind it was, but it was NICE.
cheers
Nick
