  • Looks like the owner took somewhat wrong size frame or has really long legs. really like the setup excluding the saddle and angles of the contact points.

perhaps TF took the pic straight after building it.

it is correct technique to not fiddle with the seatpost too much as if the owner wants to raise it/slam it you might get insertion marks.

  • owner should have brought a trkstd woulda looked nicer

  • Owner should have got the custom frame fitted properly. Why is the saddle so far forward and why use so many spacers?

  • I tend to have the saddle quite far forward and my cleats set quite far back in the shoe - feel like i can put a hella lot more power down and get less knee trouble.

    No excuse for the spacers

  • doesn't the seat being forward allow you to use more of your thighs when pedaling?

    edit: Ah ninjed

  • Buying a trkstd woulda eliminated the spacers.

all depends where in the pedal stroke you put most power.

  • I have my cleats quite far forward. I'm guessing that puts more pressure on the calves, but I find it comfortable. Still if the owner took his riding position into consideration the bike could've been built to look better.

but isnt that the track standard?

  • Just noticed it has the new trackends though, they look nice

  • but isnt that the track standard?

looks like just a very small pursuit?

  • that spacer stack has nothing on this

  • edit my bad i neglected the rear wheel stand

As far as I know it's the other way round, i.e.- longer thighs = more saddle setback from BB vertical.

I know I have longer thighs and for a road bike setup I've been told 60-70mm setback, whereas on my tarck biek I tend to push the saddle back on its rails unless I tighten it to the max; - yesterday my saddle managed to move 15mm back on its rails and probably would have gone further if that wasn't where the rails bent.

  • lows are not custom

  • bike-picture without a brake and riding with one?

  • Does this contravene fixie-nerd beik laws?

  • yes

  • lows are not custom

I was gonna say this. Made to order != custom

  • shit pedals for that bike, loose a lot of power

  • Needs SPD-SLs.

  • And that lid... no fam.

  • getting your picture posted here brings hard times :D
