That looks almost new, good find.

Added profile design stoker 26 bars to my beater. I always hated the ideas of 'bullhorns' but the flatness on these are really working for me.

That's after a day of stripping and cleaning!

I changed the cables on my cyclocross bike after my gears completely seized during my last race. Threading gear cables through SRAM shifters is not a fun thing to do.

Use pliars to ease them in, best way by far i found

I made a Brooks saddle a bit more theft-proof today. Good old chain + heatshrink tube technique.

• Clean an old chain first then, saddle in position, measure chain length, break chain to the right length, then lower the saddle,
  
• Slip the chain into a 12.7mm heatshrink tube (colour of your choice, will prevent scratches on both frame & saddle rails) which is at least 3cm longer than the chain length, pull the heatshrink back, put the chain & heatshrink tube through both rear stays and saddle, push the link back into the chain.
  
• Slide one end of the heatshrink into the other end, use a hairdryer to shrink the tube onto the chain, put the saddle back to its original height.
  
  

Once it is done, it should look as good as this:

yeah after changing the tyre you should probably get couple less of "is that a tub?" type questions

haha i have been getting quite afew supprised looks when i tell them it's clincher.

I'm not sure. It's probably cheap. It's been sitting around for ages and I want it out tbh.

How well does this work? Also was the GB stuff easy to find and modify ?

It works very well.
I had ordered some extra stays a few years back from Jitensha or Peter White and just drilled some appropriate holes in the SKS units.
Waaaay lighter and quieter and safer than the Berthoud stainless.
Only a little uglier.

...but less ugly than regular sks. Which is what attracted me.

SJS have some spare hardware so I'm kinda tempted.

Unfortunately the Nitromors ran out part way through doin the wheels and it seems that the new Nitromors formula couldn't take chocolate off a Kit Kat. Lots of sanding for me toorrow then!

I've also recovered the saddle, sourced a pair of matching polished brake calipers and purchased a pair of gumwall Paselas in 700 x 25c flavour + a few other bits like chain, cables, etc

this is true. found it out while trying to strip a frame with super thick powdercoat and it just doesn't work.
