Laced up the wheels today for my Peugeot, its slowly getting there, still waiting for the BB to arrive from Wiggle.
Need to get the wheels properly tensioned and trued

I need suggestions to fix the bottom of the mudguard to the frame. there's no chain stay bridge and I don't feel like drilling the yoke.
I thought it would go without attaching there, but it scrapes against the tyre and rattles like crazy against the chain stays.

Couple of strips of Meccano precisely bent?
With some old inner tube underneath to spare the paint.

Duct tape and wet weather=flapping mudguard

Drill two small holes in the mud guard near the stays and cable tie it, nice and neat.

Yup. I reckon that's your answer.
-
• #68214
I was gonna say four holes and 2 cable ties for even clearance.
-
• #68215
I meant use one hole and one tie each side, but two holes each side, one top and one bottom of the stay would be a better fix and be neater.

Just fitted a set of Sala Moto Ace 17d bend bars on my 853 Inbred, liking them super comfy and a good width. The bike handles really well now

Maybe a durable rubberized thingie like the gear tie. (see below)
You'd have to clip one end off, maybe slip a washer over to anchor the end behind the fender, then wrap it up. Sorry if that's not clear.

pretty bad job of it though, need to redo it and get a black tyre

yeah after changing the tyre you should probably get couple less of "is that a tub?" type questions

So I converted my former road bike into a commuter/city/situpandbeg bike
Don't worry, it already made it to Anti-porn. I must say that I did convert the bike to this poor state (terrible stickers as anti-theft devices) because the carbon frame is a bit cracked, and hopefully it will be replaced in the future by something more sensible for daily use (like a Kaffenbach for exemple). And also there is something like 2-3 cm of saddle to bar drop (ground is'nt level on the pic).

Mines a Primato not an advanced so I was just assuming they'd stayed with ISO what with them being European and everything
