Thanks TM.
Alfie, I tried putting a 700c wheel with a 23c tyre on, it wouldn't fit. I didn't have anything smaller. So I assumed it was 650c, maybe it was meant for something else but I honestly don't know.

From look of the seat stay bridge clearance it could've been built super tight for 700/20c or smaller? Was it close to fitting when you put the 700/23 in front?
*For the record, I'm no expert .

I think I have a front wheel with a 19c tyre on, and a rear one as well, I'll try to see what it looks like.

Bloody lovely that. Might be interested if a 700 fits up front.

If not for 700c front there is a 26" clincher trispoke here that could suit it....

SOOOOOO Nice, i wish...... :(

I dont think this is for 700c, that clearance is more road-forks-like rather than different-wheel-size-like.
beautiful lines of that frame btw

This might sound a bit 'nooblike' but whats going on with the seat clamp ?
I cant see one and was just a passing thought

I just tried a 700 wheel with a 19c tyre on, it doesn't clear it because of 3-4mm.. so unless it was made for 700x15c tires then I think it's a road fork, with normal clearance for that use, like 1000archangels said.
4rch13: it doesn't have a seat clamp, you need a special quill seat post to be tightened with a plunger inside the frame, like a quill stem.
Pics with the 700 wheel on the front:
In the rear, clearance is tighter with a 19c tyre on.. :)

Reckon this is slightly too big for me...

with a nutted front wheel, I'd happily drop a ball bearing between the axle and the drop out and ride that.

Nood question, how is the seatpost retained?
Also could it be for 26 or 27" front wheel? -
• #18
DW it's just one of those quill seatposts.

reading that thread would answer all of your questions young padawan.

Check your seat tube angle with the 700c/700c combo. It definitely isn't made for a 700c front wheel, because it fucks up the geometry like that.

Damn I want this so much. Fucking skint until I sell some shit though :/

I agree Zigura, too weird with a 700c.
By the way, frame is now sold..

Anyone knows whos selling frame like this...
Hello,
Reluctant to sell this but it's a bit small for me, it doesn't make sense to keep it aside anymore.
Frame was built by Mécacycle (renowned for their turbo frame), Excell lo pro model (700/650), named after the tubes used to built it (a little bit more info here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclecrank/2159284334/).
Frame's in very good condition, it has no dents, although it has a few paint chips. Respray is fairly recent.
Size 54 high (c-t) by 55 long (c-c). Frame set includes: frame, forks, campy headset, shimano bb and the original quill seat post that I had polished.
I'd like £265 please (price already includes postage to UK/Most of EU, tracked and insured). Donation to the forum will be made once sold, like usually.
Thank you.
