Around 8pm this evening. South-traveling side of the street near Shelburne Road. A women (appeared to be middle-aged) was hit by a motorcyclist according to an officer at the scene. Two ambulances and two police cars on the scene blocking the southbound lane. Ambulance crew were putting her on a board and fitting a neckbrace. Same officer told gawkers (and myself) to keep moving as the women was "in a lot of pain".
I carried on for a quick shop at the Waitrose and when I came back by around 8:20pm or so she had just been loaded into the large ambulance. I asked one of the ambulance crew if the motorcyclist had been hurt and he said no, only the woman.
Across the street two youths holding motorcycle helmets stood next to a sport bike and appeared to be getting their paperwork back from an officer on the scene.
First and foremost, I hope the woman is okay. Secondly, if the youths on the motorcycle are at fault, I hope justice is served.
