You need a Twitter account to be able to create your own library, but you can download public ones that other people have done without it.
Once you're signed in with your Twitter account, you need to create a new library, then each of the patterns offers you the choice of adding it to a library when you put your mouse pointer over it.
Once you've put the patterns that you want into a library, you then download it, and use the software that is on the site (under Download) to move it over to the light unit. I found that my unit was a bit tempramental about the USB leads that it would accept, but once I found one that worked, it was fine.
