With all the faff from my Dawes cx fork, I am seriously thinking about just buying a new fork. If I buy a new fork, then it seems sensible to upgrade to a threadless if I can.
In terms of 1" threadless forks with canti bosses the surly cross check looks like the sensible option.

- Is there anything else I need to think about - crown height, rake, etc? or will it just be fine?
- are there any other options out there?
Cheers.

My park tool co bog roll holder (present from Mrs Ludd) spins round so that under-folk can dispense their preferred way. I just wish that people would do the QR up properly rather than pretending it's a wing nut.

I will need to travel from SE22 (call it Peckham Rye Park) to UB1 3UE can anyone recommend a cycle + train commute that will have me cycling no more than 8 miles one way and keep me within one or two zones to minimise train cost?

ANy recommendations for good broadband deals?
We may or may not be in a Virgin COAX area (everyone on our street is but us) but Virgin are being a special brand incompetent and after several times guaranteeing someone to be round by XX date have repeatedly failed. I've told them several times that if they don't pull their fingers out I'll go elsewhere and I think now is probably time.
Other options are to get the interweb down the phone line (prehistorically slow) but not sure what good deals are where and which companies are good and which aren't.
Suggestions welcome!

thanks, dude. I could have done that myself. I'm looking for a route from Wandsworth or maybe Richmond that would then get me up to Southall.
there are plenty of people on here who will have a pretty good handle on that already and I've done Google, TfL and Cycle Streets with no real utility.
