I've made no secret of the fact that I'm going, but I'm finally off.
The missus has secured us a year in an apartment that looks a cross between a Batman cowl and the Gherkin and I'm duty bound to join her. Obviously I'll be backwards and forwards as time marches on, but we'll be there for a minimum of two years and a maximum of five.
The good news is that we have two bedrooms and anyone who is travelling through that way is more than welcome to visit/stay whilst travelling in either direction.
I'll be taking my bike with a view to introducing fixie-skidding to the dishi-dashi wearers.
As a thank you, goodbye and fuck off to the various people I've met, ridden with and drunk with, I'll be putting some bunce behind the bar at the Raven (probably if they can sort their fucking grub out).
I will also endeavour to attempt the GSIAW, although I'm not sure I can be arsed to grace Easts NE postcode with my presence. I will be on the Guinness 7.1, Coffee and the Bridges rides prior to my departure so will catch up with any of you then.
I also have some stuff which I'll be punting, so if we're a similar size then form a rather disorderly queue...
