I think that curve is just the wide angle lens, no way would it be that curved at that height.

At 120000ft? I reckon it'd be pretty curved. Its unlikely that this picture was taken with completely non-distorting wide angle, but it would still be very curved from that height.

The colourful creatures - normally more dispersed across the region - arrive in huge numbers to gorge on cyanobacteria.
