  • At 120000ft? I reckon it'd be pretty curved. Its unlikely that this picture was taken with completely non-distorting wide angle, but it would still be very curved from that height.


  • Flocks of flamingos cover Lake Bogoria in Kenya. An estimated one and a half million lesser flamingos pack into the lake. The colourful creatures - normally more dispersed across the region - arrive in huge numbers to gorge on cyanobacteria. The spectacular scene was captured by wildlife photographer Martin Harvey, 57, who spent two weeks among the birds.
