As winter is on the way, the theory was that now would be a great time to build a practical winter commuter. In practice, I've done the opposite.
I have been using this parts bin special as my daily beater for the last 8 months or so. A Surosa track frame, which was matt black powder coated before I got it

When I saw this for sale on here with a cracked head tube (quite common with Forts).

I had Vernon Barker fix it for me for a measly £30, then as the paint was fucked after the welding, and the fact I hate metallic blue bikes, I gave it a Home Made Ghetto Fade, then built it up tonight into this (sorry about the shit pics)

No new parts, but I sprayed the rear rim black as well. The brake and pedals are now on, but they're the same as the ride at the top. I'm really not keen on the cockpit, but it'll do for a bit until I dial in what I want. It should be a bit of fun, and it'll be heading back to NZ with me in December anyway, so some summer riding is on the cards soon.
