@TS .. Done a couple of 10 speed Campagnolo Centaur and Record / old steel and I've not had any issues - one had a 126 rear and the other 130. Saying that both where built with standard gearing and not compact so I can't comment if there will be enough slot length in a braze on for location of the front mech ..
Also it will depend on the 'straightness' of the frame if you're using an old frame see http://shifterbikes.com/ 25.08.10 BASS-OHHH.. tube faces had to be refaced .. there was also issues because of the max tubing and the front braze on position for the mech to work correctly
