I'll make sure it sorted sooner or later. But for now I think the 5k I put aside for it would be better off as part of the deposit. I can then put some money down each month for the CH. But if the property doesn't have gas supply that may be further down the line.

I noticed an electric cooker there too so possibly there is no gas.

When I were a nipper, we were lucky enough to have one gas fire to heat a 3 bed terraced house. I can remember the shampoo being frozen in the bathroom one winter. There was also a time a few years back where the central heating packed up while we were on a winter holiday. It took a couple of days for our then bungalow to warm through once I got it working again.
