I dunno. I did think about it briefly and decided that 30mm of travel wouldn't be that bad. I thought about ways around it (like the outer hub suspended around the inner hub...) but nobody else has even mentioned it. Like I said, it's just a fancy sketch. "Styling exercise", to utter the immortal get-you-out-of-anything deus ex machina words. When you scribble something together in two or three days, it either works good or it looks good, unless you're amazing and can do both at the same time.
I didn't realise those hubs existed. Only 1:1.5 ratio so you'd be spinning a 24" gear, but the technology exists, so I suppose it could be made with a different ratio and you'd be away. Cool!
