A jubilee clip would do the trick, IF you can get one small enough to go through the holes on the circuit-board.
I think plastic cable ties are enough of a deterrent for would-be thieves, it's just an arse if you prefer to remove them all the time. More of an issue might be people nicking the battery, as it just unclips out, but I don't think that would be a common problem.
