For Sale: White track frame 55cm

White alien track frame, tange levin silver headset, front brake drilled, 4130 steel (similar to 520), long point lugs, english thread bb, used but good paint condition. No dents, dings or crashes. Was looking for £200. Pick up in Liverpool or can post. Also have deep V wheelset, goldfinger lever and brake, toe straps and lezyne pump in my other thread. Cheers!

Is 4130 similar to 531?

Similar in that they are both long thin steel tubes! 520 may be a better comparison to make?

My understanding of it was 4130 was the generic name, 531 is how Reynolds manipulates the tubes. Happy to change the listing if incorrect though, no intention to mislead =)

Apparently 531 is Manganese/Molybdenum Steel alloy as opposed to Chromoly Steel (of which 4130 is one type) which is what 520/525 is. I only know that as I've been obsessing over steel frames recently but now I feel like a geek!
