I feel bad about Resi as I know some people who worked on it. Thing is, they have to experiment with the game otherwise it will just be the same stuff updated. This time it didn't pay off, but it's a really polarized game. Some love it, some hate it. They'll learn from it and Resi 7 will be good.
I've yet to play it, but it's probably not my cup of tea

XCOM!
Can't wait. The first game I have ever pre-ordered.

There's too many good games atm
XCom, Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Sleeping Dogs....
I'm sticking with Borderlands 2 for now, I have the others but they can wait

Will probably buy borderlands 2 when It's on sale on steam over Christmas.

I started a new character on Skyrim. I got sucked back in.
-
• #6834
How?
I never felt compelled to play it. Tried it. Then uninstalled it after maybe 15 hours or so.

Unemployment, lack of new games, boredom.

I like Skyrim, it's just so unstable on the ps3.

Reminds me of the excitement I got playing thief. I love a bit of sneaky beaky.
Doesn't really feel like any of the fallout games at all. Remember bethesda just published it, someone else made it. It's really fluid, fast and satisfying. I've heard it's not very long, but I think being able to play through in various ways should at least make it worth going through a couple of times.
The 'fate worse than death' thing sounds good too - though I like killing people much more ;)
Thanks - I'm in!

I've given up on console games pretty much, only if they are free / review copies.
PC versions are so much better (and especially when I finally replace my pc)
-
• #6839
^^ if you've got a decent PC, get it on that. The graphics look incredible, but real blurry on consoles.
At first I thought it was just the 'painterly' style, but apparently not. It certainly isn't a deal breaker, but it's not great by any means.

oh and avoid PS3, it's got major screen tearing for some reason

Oh I forgot, I finally wrote something again

I need to get Dishonored (do they know they spelt it wrong?) but all my time is going in to Guild Wars 2 now.
-
• #6843
Slacker, I've msg'd you a few times on GW2 and you never reply :P
Did you find a guild ? if not, I can invite you to ours

I started a new character. Sorry. Yeah I've found one, not many people in it but we're all about the same level so can help each other out.
I was a Necromancer the first time and one of those bear people things, but I felt really underpowered and hated the world it was in, so restarted as a Warrior tree person thing, so now I just hit things with a huge sword. Which is much more fun. -
• #6845
Yeah I play a thief now when I get the chance to actually play that is!
-
• #6846
I just realised I've still got the same chat name, you're down as a "follower" but I didn't get any messages.

Look like the community project Black Mesa is out.
In layman's term; you can play the original Half Life in it's Half Life 2 glory.

Your welcome.

A bit off topic but...
Has anyone done this: http://hinthunt.co.uk/ ?
Did one last night and it's brilliant. Like playing a fantastic puzzler but real life!
You are locked in a room and have an hour to solve puzzels/find clues that will help you escape. I'd say more but I migth spoil it for any potential participants. I think it'll appeal especially to gamers (and everyone else too). Brilliant fun and quite taxing too.
Dishonored. without a doubt.
