I reread the post. They may not be able to help, they generally fix situations where people snap their keys in the lock and can prove it's their bike.

We've borrowed bolt cutters from the cycle ambulance before, my mate broke them in the end and had to buy them another pair though so they may not been keen to do it again.
Worth a try in central though.

Martin on the market has lent his bolt cutters out before. He asks for a deposit so you don't run off with them but is handy if you're in the town centre
Dear Cambridge Folk,
A friend from another forum, who is at university in Cambridge, is in a spot of bother having lost the keys to her bike. She needs to be in lots of different places tomorrow so could really do with getting her bike back in use as soon as possible.
If anyone is in a position to pay a visit this evening with some lock cutting tools or lend a smallish bike for tomorrow could you let me know. Even a poloaner would probably make life easier.
I'll assure eternal gratitude and beer to any helpful parties.
