Think you got this the wrong way round

Spuds were straight on AVB's back with a couple of indifferent results (obviously the Man U result will make him a bloody hero, expect a statue to commemorate it)

LFC actual fans realise it's a work in progress and this will take time. heartened by the performance levels while being irritated about not being able to finish teams off which wasn't rectified from last year as yet

Indeed he has got it the wrong way around, however this has been an issue for years. I said to Corny the year we finished second that we desperately needed another forward as big pushes that result in failure are often followed by slumps. Given how precarious our finances were back then I feared the club would slide into oblivion.
For years we've been better than United in midfield however they've always had top drawer players upfront- you know that place...where games are won. LFC still haven't cottoned on.
