reminds me of the first beer festival i went to
wigan beer festival 1989 got the ptogranmme with all beers listed
started off all keen, careful notes neat handwriting, accurate detailed descriptions of malty / hoppy taste
looking at it the following morn in my room i halls of residence i think i could read my handwriting up till about the 4th pint ( there were a couple of 8%'ers drunk quite early on ) from there on, spiders walking across the page would be quite a good description, and i'll be damned if i could read a word of it
subsequent beer festivals i just sampled the beers and did less of the note taking !
