Cycle campaigning

I'm carrying out personal research into the communications used in cycle safety campaigns and would really welcome views. Have a questionnaire that I can e mail though in short the questions are

1. What cycle safety campaigns are you aware of?
   
2. How were you made aware of them eg newspaper article, cycling newsletter, online content, word of mouth etc.
   3 how was social media used and how effective do you think it was? Eg better or worse than radio advertising
   
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages if using social media for cycle campaigns.
