  • Its here at last!!!!!!!!!

The UK asked for it so Throwin are proud to bring it to you for the first time on UK shore! UHMW is here for good!

Hailing from the from the darkest Midlands of Great Britain like the 'God father of metal' himself! We bring you the most metal head in bike polo.

This very high quality 5" head is made in the U.K from a single piece of PE-UHMW which resists wear much better than standard HDPE heads. It has one open and capped end and is the first and only UHMW head of it's kind in the UK.

  • How much? £14 Weight? Looks good.

  • We bring you the most metal head in bike polo.

    Nice.

  • +1 \m/

  • Off the top of my head its approx. 130mm = 120gs(according to out kitchen scales). But can easily be cut down to 120mm if you want it lightened and prefer a smaller head

  • Also I'm thinking of coming up to play in London tomorrow night as have day off if.anybody would like a play with one.

  • Built one of these up last night, super fast delivery, thanks guys!

The build quality seems ace and whilst the heads are heavier than milk (as they're the same thickness throughout) the weight soon comes down once you've added some speed holes.

Looking forward to properly trying it out tonight (I cut it down to 120mm as 130mm seems overkill to me), thanks again.

  • looking good, you had them made right here in the midlands? we've been looking for a while...

  • Thanks jono. I myself prefer 120 but col likes 130 and after much debate thought bigger was better as it could then be cut to.prefered size. Something we can do before shipping if people email us.

There are a few up your way emm. unfortunately ours is top secret. But very much British way should be :)

  • Can you cut mine to 120mm please? I bought two this morning (bogey cambridge)

  • nice i want one to 120mm looks nice

  • super fast delivery

  • holy moley bogeley, you are making a new mallet, shit got serious for the killer bees.

  • Can you cut mine to 120mm please? I bought two this morning (bogey cambridge)

Good job checked forum was gonna try and get it in the 5pm post. If I can get hold of the mitre saw then yes as Colin has all the heavy diy kit(and is currently touring Europe for charity). So if your ok waiting a few days then should be able to do it for you.

  • i need em sharpish, I haven't had a new mallet since Paris (yes B, holy moly), i'll cut them down.

  • Cool I will get them in first post tomorrow then and to you asap.

  • thanks DuD3!

  • super fast delivery

+1 Thanks guys! looking forward to testing it this weekend

  • Are the white perro shafts different than the old silver ones? I have 2 silver ones and got a year use out of aeach, in fact it's not even dented, just bent up a bit and so tough I cant bend it back.

I bought 3 of the white ones which I rather regret.

The white one bent in the second game from nothing but mallet on mallet. I bent it back by hitting it on my handlebars, something I haven't been able to do since the days of £5 charity shop ski poles.

In the 4th game I hit my down tube performing a BB shot and the damned thing snapped like a bread stick. I know my old perros would never do such a thing. I snapped it again on my knee just to make sure It wasn't bad luck, fairly minimal effort and flexed maybe half an inch and folded.

  • The white ones are the Perro 'lite' iirc.

  • Rincewind I can only apologise on perros behalf being a UK seller.

As far as I am aware they are the same poles just white. I am pretty hard on poles and have not had a similar experience with a white perro nor have I heard of anyone else. Have you tried using the other two you spoke of?? All I can say is email perro directly and ask his advice.

If he is willing to replace it we can have it sent with our next order. Postage UK side would however have to be covered.

Also white perros are regular poles and silver perro lites.

  • It did seem like a dodgy one, was very soft.

  • Rincewind I have pm'd you.

I am a little confused by the situation is the pole from our shop?? If so we have not received any communication other than the forum.

I would urge anyone who has questions or issues with out products to contact us directly either via our email address:
    THROWINPOLOCO@GMAIL.COM
    or via our Facebook page:
    http://www.facebook.com/ThrowInPoloCo

Any issues that arise with out products we will deal with as quickly and efficiently as possible once aware of the situation.
