Do they learn nothing? Things like that could cause the entire trial to collapse, and , if it was him that did it, allow him to escape on a legal technicality. As soon as an arrest is made, anything like that can be (I think) contempt of court, I know its dangerous to write about it.

Huh, the police have named him, and have arrested him on suspicion of murder. I doubt the ravings of any number of bell ends on Twitter will affect the outcome of a trial.
