Jaw, I was out drinking in brockley, and eating delicious cassoulet...
We drew with a struggling Panathanikos team, think we should have beat them, had chances to score the decisive second, didn't get it they sneak an equalizer. Story of the first half of our season.
Looked like a strong team, I do think AVB wants to win this cup, silverware, good cup runs buy a manager time, and also it allows him more chances to get across how he wants the team to play, without the press constantly acting like evvery game is do or die..
Back to the brink with Villa on the weekend, which with Lambert's current rejuvenating effect isn't goint to be easy...
ps glad to see Huddlestone getting a start with Dembele, he's as good as Sandro, and probably slightly more progressive as a passer, if not as destructive as a holder..
Still need Adebayor to get fit quick, so we can use him up front with Defoe coming off the bench as impact sub..
