  • hi, newbie here, just thought i would say hi
    I'm Chris

  • New to this forum and i thought i i would say hi to all.

  • I would also like to say hello :) I'm from Denmark and have been driving fixed gear for about a year.

  • Hello all, Newbie on the forum but rode an ex track fixed wheel as my daily driver for many years and going to try and find another!

  • Newb. Used to ride 10 years back or so, just getting started now.

Oh yes... I'm Stonehedge's next-door neighbour and he's sorted a ss out for me... Hah!

  • Hello all, ended up here after searching for CX bike info.

  • Been using this site for about a year without getting involved till now. Ride fixed. Based in Kingston

  • Hi, just joined. Apparently I need to make 3 contributions before I can post a question of my own. In the meantime does anyone have a view on what sort of brake levers I should use when I convert my old track bike for road use? Top of bar or on the drops?

  • This is often misunderstood--you're most welcome to post in any thread as long as you post something sensible. It's just that you can't start a new thread until after three posts and 24 hours. In the meantime, ask your question in 'Any question answered'. You shouldn't start a new thread for it, anyway.

  • Hi all,
    I'm Antoine, 28, from France !
I come here to enjoy the english fixed gear culture !
I'm also on pignonfixe.com with the same nickname

  • Hey, looks lire there are a few chaps here I've already seen in other places ! (Hi, Antoine ! :p )

Anyway, let me send you all a rainy hello from Brussels, Belgium !

Hope I'll learn loads of things thanks to you.

  • just a normal hello and not a rainy one can do, please. we've got enough rain already :)

  • I just love to share. :D

IMO putting cross-top levers on drops just looks silly, I used road levers (or risers, they don't look as cool but they're hella comfy)

  • shirley it depends on if you tend to ride on the drops or not? safety first and all that?

  • Who rides on the drops??

  • Hi im new here and new to bikes in general. 1st yr of uni and want to dedicate some free time for my 1st bike build project. My aim is to use as many used parts as possible. Single speed. Budget of £200. If anyone round here could kindly send me some guides to get started it would be amazing help, thanks

  • New to the forum so just getting my 3 posts in before I can pm. Hi everyone.

  • Oops, just seen the note in the nursery section about posting random messages to get through the nursery. Sorry about that. I wish I'd read it first. Just keen to get buying something from the classifieds that's all.
    Ali

  • Ha ha. First day on and nearly blown it already on the etiquette front!

  • Alright guys, new to London, new to the forum - will have to get involved with some of the drinking that seems to happen!
