i have two wheelsets.
one for commuting and general day to day stuff
one for sportives, racing, etcas the second set is relatively new ive been using them regularly to wear them in etc. now ive flipped back to set one it feels like im rolling on treacle not tarmac. ive regreased the hubs and try to inject some life into them but they feel sluggish, slow, and generally hard work. would changing the tyres have any great impact on their performance?

Discounting Gimp can anyone recommended some free photo editing software that would allow photos to be reprocessed for web? It needs to have the function to adjust DPI.
Do you want to adjust the dpi, or just resize them. -

Paint.net is almost as easy to use as Paint, but has a whole load of useful stuff like masks, layers, transparency... and it's free.

Having read 6p's link above I think resizing. DPI adjusting doesn't seem relevant now.
^Emyr - I'll try that thanks.

Could go into resampling vs resizing if I was being really difficult...

Too late.I now have another nugget of niche information lodged in my brain, and have had to forget something otherwise important.
Probably the birthday of a loved one.
But don't feel guilty or anything.

Yes, possibly as much as any wheel change. There's as much difference between a fast tyre and a slow one as there is between a Zipp 808 and a Mavic Ksyrium, even at high speed. Conversely, unless they are actually seized/maladjusted/terminally worn, the performance difference between the cheapest and most expensive hub bearings is less than 10% of the other variations between wheel/tyre set ups.

Do you want to edit the images, or just change the image file properties? For batch processing things like resize/resample, change file size, crop, add common text (e.g. ©), Irfanview is pretty comprehensive and easy to drive.

if you have a mac, preview is fine for resizing, and you can easily do lots of images at the same time.

Does anyone follow some ice hockey?
Is there some in London that it's possible to go and watch without going too far? -
• #35848
Ah i used to go to see the london knights at the excel, but i don't think they exist anymore. There is an ice hockey team in Romford, but i don't know how good they are. Sorry

dpi is irrelevant for web use.
