How about a new, unused pair; black cassette hubs, Shimano 7/8/9 speed compatible, stainless spokes, black Rigida rims (might be Flyers, can't remember)?
£45 feels about right to me for just the wheels (no skewers, no rim tape): can probably find a cassette (fairly sure I've got a 7 speed one still in the packet - tenner? You'd need to get hold of a spacer though), and postage is no more than another tenner.
