.....anyway a bump for what must be in the background a hideous tribute to the days before the fall of Communism....
Monument dedicated to heroes of the struggle for freedom of the people and country, for socialism, as it was called at inauguration, the monument was built in honor of the revolutionary socialist militants.
Irony of fate is that in order to fit in very short deadline, the architects were "inspired" in just 99% of the project of Professor Alexander Tzigara-Samurcaş (who designed the building for the Romanian Peasant Museum and the triumphal monument visa rebuild "Tropaeum Traiani" of Adamclisi) under the active supervision of Marshal Ion Antonescu.
The monument, designed as final resting place, is a basic format with a massive built volume, star-shaped form, clad in black granite on which are located five slender arches covered with red granite. Base contained inside a circular enclosure (rotunda), lined with red granite tiles, whose vault (dome) is adorned with a mosaic interior covered with gold foil, brought from Italy. For covering exterior, red and black granite was imported from Sweden. Rotonda contained crypts of three most prominent representatives of communism in Romania: Dr. Petru Groza, Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej and Dr. CI Parhon.
