Another quick bump to remind everyone to prime your diaries for Cycling Club Hackney Grass Track Racing at the Well Street Common Festival on Sunday 17th May. Grass track racing is great fun and extremely suitable for fixed. See the flyer in the OP.
It starts with timed laps and then moves to races like Scratch, Devil, etc.
Look forward to seeing lots of people there!

The LYG were on Saturday the 4th July. Slightly later, in the early hours of Sunday, I bumped into Alex and Tao on the Dunwich Dynamo, Tao still riding with his broken finger. Go CCH!

Grass track racing is a hugely fun, no-fuss, instant gratification form of racing. Just turn up and go. Set a lap time over a tight circuit and enter mass-start races later.

It's been a very successful year for Cycling Club Hackney. First place at the London Youth Games, lots of good placings and events organised, and recognition at the Hackney Youth Sports Awards:

A couple of notices for CCH - a great and growing club in the heart of East London with a big emphasis on youth development and supporting Cycling Uganda.
We're having a bike jumble and roller racing outside our HQ at Olympus Square on our membership renewal day Saturday 31/03/12 with lots of cake for sale too.
See posters for more information. If you have anything you can donate please do.

Any rules to the jumble? Or can anyone turn up and try to sell their tat/quality items?

Hi 606 - sorry for the delay responding to your post. This may be a possibility, however, there would be a charge for the pitch as the idea is to raise funds for the club. I will let you know ASAP.

Hi 606 a jumble pitch will be £10.

Hi hackney cc'ers,
Are you still running sunday club rides through autumn / winter? I'd like to make my road riding more fun again, and I haven't joined a club before, so planning to try a couple of slightly contrasting clubs out before joining one. Hackney CC sounds great and is just east of my abode, so I'd like to give it a go this month (away this w/end unfortunately).
Cheers, ollie
