I have a pal with a frame, I'll see what he says tomorrow.

Cheers!
Good stretch on price a bit, I'm just basing it on the one that sold on here last week. -

Ba bump. Anyone? I don't want to break the habit of a lifetime and buy something new. Come into some money so my budget has gone up a bit, however.
Show me what you got! -

Someone on the Steamroller thread was looking to sell one. Doesn't mention size though.

Thanks mate, will have a look.
Also looking for something else OTP. IRO, Soma etc. if anyone has anything. -

I am just about to start to move bits off my steamroller onto a crosscheck frame - the steamroller will then be surplus. It's 2008, matt black, no decals or head badge, 53 cm and with Guess carbon forks, I've not got the surly ones. You'd be welcome to have a go on it if you want to try the 53 for size? I'm in Mile End.

Ooh, thanks but I think that'll be too small for me to be honest. I'm 6ft and when I've ridden a 53 before I've felt a bit 'exposed'.
How much would you want for it, out of interest? I'll have a look a the geometry and see if I think I could make it fit. -

Aha I'm about 6ft too and have gone for a 56cm Crosscheck frame!
The steamroller is ok, comfortably upright around town and I can stretch out on drop bars for a road ride, but the worst thing is about 1" overlap when using SPDs (size 12 feet) plus both the stack of spacers and the saddle height tend to confirm the frame is a bit small for me really! I guess I know what you mean by being a bit exposed... the Guess fork is shorter than the Surly one, which lowers the front end even more...
Price would prob be a bit lower than the usual 125ish that steamroller f&f seem to go for... The wrong fork! 110? Or could split and offer the frame for 90?

bah. I think I'm going to have to pass. Even though I tend to ride frames that are a bit smaller than I should (short reach), I think the 53 would be pushing it. A shame, because the price is good!
Thanks a lot, I'm sure you'll find a buyer no problem. -

You might have some luck here http://www.lfgss.com/thread93642.html
Yep, after a steamroller frame. I think I'd ride a 56, I usually ride a 56 top tube but I know the sizing's a bit odd compared to steel road bikes.
Anyone got anything?
Cheers.
EDIT: Rather than build a new conversion to replace my knackered (broken!) 753 frame, I'm on the lookout for something single/fixed specific so Pre Cursa, Soma, Steamroller, something like that.
