    I'm that Phil!

I think I even managed to press all the buttons to join LPC, but I'll sign up here too if that helps.

  • Just a reminder, registration will close on Saturday, if you want to play in the league, you need to sign up by then.

You can join later as a sub, assuming a team needs one.

    So please register here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread93866.html

All London players can join the LPC forum, you can request it here:

  • Is the league open to non-london players? I heard that it was going to a vote but couldn't find the result?

  • It isn't open to non-polo players, Sandy...

  • Sandy, you hardly played in the league when you lived in london!

    ;-p

  • Signup has been extended until the end of Monday night.

The draft will be at on Tuesday evening at 9:30pm. Captains, I will send you the google doc link on Monday at midnight.

  • Hi.

The domain londonbikepololeague.com expires in 10 days, who wants it, or shall I let it go dormant?

  • I wont be hosting the blog anymore, either, so I can hand over the files/database to anyone who's willing.

  • Well, a couple of questions then.

    1) Do we need a separate site?
I'm planning to put the results on Podium, so it's not needed for that.
Will Lfgss & Facebook be enough for the rest?
Or we could integrate it into the LHBPA site (yes I know, lots of reasons, history, accountability etc)

    2) Do we want to keep the domain anyway? Someone needs to pay for it then (not a huge amount).

    3) Do we want to keep all the history?

  • Yes.

    Yes.

    Yes.

  • Yes

  • Ok, well that needs someone to do it, and pay for it.

As much as goes against a lot of old arguments, I think it would be easiest for everyone if that was done by the LHBPA.

  • Keep it all for now, and we can figure it out later.

  • Doesn't go against anything for the LHBPA to support London polo by paying for the league domain.

  • I think the old resistance to a closer relationship between the LHBPA and the league has faded with time. I would like to see the LHBPA pay for the hosting, if we can afford it. Otherwise, I'm happy to pitch in.

  • Doesn't go against anything for the LHBPA to support London polo by paying for the league domain.

And hosting (again, should be minimal).

But we already have hosting, so probably we can integrate it into that.

We could probably contribute something from the league fee, depending on cost of patches (if we want them again), if the trophies are paid for already, etc.

  • There's no rush for the data, it can hang out on my server for now, but the domain needs sorting soon.

  • Who owns it? You?

    Edit, checked whois.

    Can you transfer the ownership?

lhbpa.org is in Andy's name, probably worth moving both under LHBPA ownership.

  • I'm getting it transferred now.

  • Thanks, Gabes!
