Here in Sweden it seem to be very tidy and colour cordinated at the moment, even to the point where they match clothing to frame/rim colour..

Funny enough, I lock my beater with the biggest and heaviest lock I have.
My better bike for all round long commuting has the lighter lock - 'cause I can't be arsed carrying that damn heavy thing all day.

Oddly enough I run a sprung Brooks similar to that on my dutch bike at a very similar angle. Any further forward and it feels like I'm slipping of forward!
