I use those over regular shoes. buy the size up if you're going to do this but they stretch a fair bit. They are waterproof, but in torrential rain get a little damp on the inside (could of course be condensation from the warmth of feet as the rain appears to run straight off them), but not enough to get through your shoes, has certainly never given me wet feet. They're nice and high so there's not gap between my waterproof trousers and them. Would definitely recommend and wont break the bank. Could probably find them cheap online then pricematch in evans too if you can be bothered
