I believe the actuation ratio may be slightly different for 11-speed. That doesn't mean it wouldn't work though.
What's more confusing is, they claim they've changed the design of the 10-speed mechs to be more similar to the 11-speed models (oversized front plate of parallelogram). What they don't specify is if the cable pull ratio is the same... As per usual, they say to not mix and match older kit.
