Just got a really nice canonet g3 from the forum, anyone have any nice film they'd like to sell me? I've been using pound shop film so far.

Have you used it before? Any good?

Those fujicolors aren't any better than your standard pound shop film. Prefer kodacolors to them and agfa vista over both of them. You can get rolls of vista 200 in poundland now, proper bargain.
If you want nicer colour film try portra, ektar, superia 400 etc...

Colours not as 'correct' as fuji superia, a bit grainier than superia too,

all in all, it's great considering it costs £1.30~ a roll
-
• #4660
quite nice, if 'wrong', colours there
1.30 a roll + 3.70 dev and scan = fiver a roll all in, good for party photos?
-
• #4661
Main reason i bought them, party this weekend hehe, flash/good light would help
good for party photos?
-
• #4662
I guess when your using flash the film doesn't matter so much.
i've used those fujicolors in a compact before and they came out nice enough. for the price they're a solid option, i just prefer the colours on agfa vista.

Where are you developing for that price?

Weird coincidence. I've seen this guy out shooting when I was living there, however I was infiltrating a live dockyard in a kayak at the time so wasn't really the time to touch large format's and sniff wet plates with him.

If anyone's interested, I'm selling my Yashica Lynx 14e. There's a thread here.
Briefly had one of these, AMAZING lens, absolute bokeh monster. Let mine go to a mate for way less, though wasn't really aware of their value at the time/ had more stuff than I knew what to do with. Batteries for them, are they the ones that take the 1.35v or 1.45v jobs? With a converter you can put silver oxide (<3month life once activated) batteries in and the metering is as close as dammit. (1/4 stop high or something like that).

^^ I actually bought that Yashica off Sam, It's absolutely amazing, can't wait to shoot on it
-

Absolutely cracking camera. But, as mentioned somewhere here before, an absolute unit. I don't think I've used it in over a year! Fuck it. This weekend...
-
• #4669
Yep great camera. I preferred the electro 35 in the end: 90% of the bokehfest, half the weight, better controls. Still have one somewhere on long-term loan to a mate... hope he's not left the battery in all this time.
-
• #4670
^ Better controls, maybe, but less of them. :)
-
• #4671
I will confess to taking 99% of my pics on aperture priority mode!

If you D&P any colour 35mm film at Jessops, they give you a free roll of this - it costs about a tenner (from memory). And the variable quality control might give you that lomo look (or it might just leave you with scratches on your negs).

I've just been given a Canon EOS 650. Anyone have any experience with these?
Just taking a test roll to see if it actually works.

Nice, that was the first ever EOS body.
If you have access to any canon EF glass, stick it on and have fun.
That's fresh! What camera?
