My memory's not what it was, but I think the pro-team versions had a Mavic groupset, though it may have been campag record. You could by them as a frame-only and I'm guessing people would have put Campag groupsets on.
According to this catalogue page the full-build in the shops had a french/swiss groupset - Simplex, stronglight, weinmann, maillard etc
