  • 26 inch durano or gatorskin? Any other cheap tyres that are good in the warehouse?

  • Thank you for today guys

  • Good to meet u tum, it's not always as busy as that, get more games most of the time.

  • if anyone see cat eye front light black one let me know ,, cheers

  • Anyone going to Canterbury? If one of the guys from Lhbp is there. See if they've got a mallet hand guard thing for me :)

  • Hi guys, could you tell me how many people are playing polo in Cambridge? Also if you have any beginners atm? Have you taught any kids polo this year? Trying to do a UK player census and compile numbers of people introduced to the sport this year...

    Newmarket, you too!

  • We don't do any of that...

We just turn on the machine that breeds all the superstars

  • Oh god...how does Cambs put up with you?! See you in Canterbury.

  • For those who don't yet know, the warehouse is now closed for business.

I guess we will need to have a chat about how we continue, I wasn't at the last meeting where it may have been discussed? Happy to have a chat with barnwell to see if they can rent us the old court? Arbury has some great courts with free floodlighting?

    RIP

  • Bogey, how about we book barnwell for Tuesday and see how it goes??? Just until we sort everything out...

Angelo was talking to me this morning and mentioned having another meeting to talk about the future of Cambridge bike polo...

    Sunday?

  • So shit, gutted we did all the cleaning last night... Anyone know If the guy we used to deal with checking into new properties for us? I know the mercers row one was silly money but it would be good if anythin else pops up, dont much fancy playin in the windy rainy snow over winter, or gettin stabbed in arbury after we have had it so good...

  • What a Shame :/ pretty sudden too.

  • So sad.

Took down the lights last night. I agree on Barnwell tuesday night. Anybody for a sunday meeting? what sunday is best for all? Angelo, RV and I are away Oct 7th.

Actually should be fun to go back to Barnwell for some grippy action. Not against Arbury either (never played there). We'll need cones! eeek! so ghetto!

  • We can have the Sunday meeting at mine this time, I'll make some crêpes to cheers us up...
Is tomorrow Sunday too soon ?
Any other would do for me.

  • That sucks? What happened? Miss polo for a few days and it all happens.
Did you guys get all the stuff out? Need a hand just let me know.

About time I got used to tarmac, at least have tires for it.

  • Gutted about the warehouse. Sounds like it was becoming a major pressure on those trying to hold onto it (RV, Feb, Hayden etc). Thanks to you guys for sacrificing your sanity for us.

Re the future: Jo and I cant do this Sunday evening for meeting, up for some Barnwell action on Tuesday though.
We have cones at Arbury - going to do another ladies beginner session Sunday 10-12 over there (so close to our house yessssss). Would be good to get some more new people but also if boys and everyone else comes over at 12 to mix it up. Jali do have to rush off at 12 though.

  • Apologies everyone for the sudden undemocratic evacuation of the warehouse , it became an impossible situation with the owners and their lease . Cambridge polo isn't about one person and I couldn't put my name on a contract with the terms they wanted. It's been a nightmare for me and Feb !

  • Oh and I need everybody's copy of the keys to the warehouse by Sunday night

  • Thanks for all the effort you've put in to it RV/Feb/Hayden. I'll give Barnwell woman a ring on Monday to see if we can't get in Tuesday night, and let you all know what the score is.

Personally, having thought about it, I think Arbury would be a great bet. It's a super surface, like Hackney Downs, and doesn't need any organising between us (or money) aside goals (could we leave the goals with Jali, perhaps?) and boards to block the open ends. The tennis courts next door are perfect for a big tournament too (provided we can get the wood needed for boards).

I knew putting gears on my polo bike was a good shout.. ;)

  • The end of an era, but also the start of a new chapter in Cambridge bike polo.
We need an end of warehouse party soon!!!

One of the rollergils mentioned she knew someone who had access to the new tennis courts on Jesus green. Has anybody seen them, would they be any good?

  • Such a shame... Thanks everyone who had the hassle of trying to sort the contract and sorry I couldn't make the clear up.

    Any polo today?

  • just been to arbury,,girls just finnished,,its raining

  • Can anyone give me a postcode for arbury court or another new one pls. I may check it out before polo day. Cheers

  • anyone want to buy some magic heads drop me a pm, I have 30 to sell, so let me know £6 a go.......
