• as main concern here is overlap, how about a steeper ht and simply more rake on original forks? everybody could change the fork if they were not too happy.

    Seems like a reasonable solution - I've got a steep angle and long rake on my current ride and that works a treat.

    I never quite got what is the problem with toe overlap. Just a minor nuisance for me. Never crashed because of it or anything

    Fair enough - I only get toeverlap when riding on clipless in trainers - typically during track stands and tight turns (e.g. pulling out to overtake slow moving traffic) this is the least of my worries compared with skidding on Looks in trainers.
