  • I watched the highlights last night, and we were impressive going forward but also wasteful, and we'll get punished by better teams if that continues.
From the match reports Siggurdson, Dembele and Sandro were our best players, especially the way they interchanged positions and looked to pass through the midfield. Lennon looks like he's learning some new tricks and his run and siggi's pass for the first goal were a delight.

The media seems to be creating pressure on AVB, the storyline is he hasn't changed from his time at Chelsea, he's still the autocratic, awkward man manager who alienates his players. The lloris is a non story, he's got to fight for his place, and not just walk into the team, that sends the wrong message and does nothing for team harmony if the players playing well and in the team know that as soon as someone else is fit they will be out of the team and back on the bench.

Read that Levy had given AVB an ultimatum of win soon or your gone, which feels absurd with so few games played and the performances whilst not world beating, at least progressing.

Reading didn't offer much, which I'm thankful for, as hopefully this result can give us a bit more confidence and we can kick on.

I'll get a chance to see AVB's rotation policy in full on Thursday when we play Lazio in the Europa League match, and it'll be nice to see a Spurs team actually taking Europe seriously again.

Actually quietly optimistic we'll get a result, and if we don't it'll give us a marker about how much we need to improve..
