It's a shame, but I haven't been able to get into this race as I did with the Olympics and TdF. And I think most of Britain was with me.
Not sure if that's because the nation's new heroes weren't really feeling it, and the apathy was contagious, or if the poor telly coverage put a dampener on it.
Like I say, a real shame, because the UK had worked itself into a cycling frenzy this summer and the ToB was a great opportunity to capitalise on that and cement it for the future.
Meh.
