North America terrifies me. Some family there seem incapable of sleeping in a motel without a handgun on the bedside table and concealed weapons on their persons on their day to day habits.
Its not the guns that are scary, or the fact that people carry them, more that they perceive a threat requiring a gun at all times to make them feel safe. Puts me off visiting america, either there is a threat and that's horrible or there isn't and everyone is psychotically paranoid.
What surprises me on that blog is how expensive things look, I tend to live by if I'm carrying it in my pocket it better be able to fall from my pocket while riding or me not be upset if that happens and its smashed / run over by a taxi...
