I used one of the little nubs on a skip that is used to pick it up on the lorry. Fitted the fork perfectly and held it well enough to put a big bar through the stem and tear it out. No damage to the fork because it was held properly. It wasn't my skip but I doubt those things are gonna get damaged by a bike component.
