Which wheels? If they are Shimano 130mm (i.e. road) hubs and worth the investment, you could put a Surly Fixxer on and lose the thick NDS spacer, that will get you a 120mm spaced wheel with a thread for a single freewheel and no need to re-dish. There's one for sale here
